Why do I see IBS UK on some places and IBS Europe on others?
We are an international organisation operating in many countries worldwide and BibleComposer is a Europe-wide programme. We want to earn your confidence, therefore we act through our national office in the UK for all administrative and finance-related issues. You will enter a contract and be invoiced by International Bible Society (UK). In the production process, however, you may be contacted by the employees of IBS Europe Publishing Department who operate from various parts of Europe. We have made an effort and optimized this process to provide the best possible response and timing.

If I order today, when can I expect the order to be completed?
We do our best to deliver as soon as we can. However, as this process involves rather high degree of customization and there are several decision and approval nodes involving you - our customer - we cannot guarantee the duration of the whole process from start to an end. In general, based on our previous experience it is safe to say that once we receive all custom materials and/or instructions from you, we are able to complete the order within three weeks.

We have an event coming up very soon - can we make an express order?
In general we will not accept orders for deliveries under three weeks. This is currently our bottom line. We advise you to contact publishing@eur.ibs.org before placing a contract request to notify us of your deadlines. There may be a surcharge applicable if our production schedule is busy of which you will be informed before requesting a contract.

What if I want to order more than the maximum quantity handled by this system?
Then forget the BibleComposer. We will be glad to handle your request individually outside this system. You may contact our publishing department on publishing@eur.ibs.org specifying your interest.

Is there any obligation for me when I have a quote generated by the system?
Absolutely not! You may freely try different configurations and obtain a price fixation from us. Then if you are not interested you may choose to delete the quote or simply let it expire. However, if you are interested, you have three weeks (21 days) to present the idea and conditions in your church or ministry board or just think it over and complete the decision-making process. Once you decide to go ahead before the quote expires all you have to do is click on a link 'Request contract' in your quotes list.

What is the difference between a pre-set cover and a custom cover?
In most cases our customers have a clear idea of the graphics design of their cover. We get all source images and a graphics preview of the intended composition from the customer, which is then processed by the graphics designers. However, if you want to use one of our pre-designed cover templates, you are welcome to make a choice. In such case we will require that you submit only the text that will replace the one you will see on zoomed-in cover images.

Is the NIV text in US English or British English?
The NIV text is in British English as published by Hodder&Stoughton. By default we use this language version in our English editions in Europe.

Where are the custom editions printed?
We have a long-term relationship with a reputable printing house CLAYS Ltd. which is part of Europe's leading international printing group St Ives plc. The print factory is in Suffolk, UK.

Can I order a custom edition in another language?
Not yet. But we are working hard on increasing the range of bible translations that will be added to this system. We hope to bring in Dutch, German and Swedish soon. If you however consider ordering more than 5,000 copies, we can process your order outside BibleComposer. As a bible society we have texts in most European languages available. Please contact our publishing department to obtain a quote.
